I personally think that the resource offers schools a fantastic additional resource that both enhances and compliments their overall curriculum. It is a well structured, progressive resource that is completely 'user friendly' and yet allows for schools' own flexibility and adaptation if required. It is a 'must have' for schools as it supports many of the national government agendas that are facing schools currently in terms of increasing levels of physical activity and the Health agenda.
You were mesmerising to watch especially when working with the reception classes - you not only took the 5 year olds on a space adventure - you took the audience of teachers too! You really were a delight to watch and I heard comments about 'a breath of fresh air.' You totally encaptured the children's creative minds! Your expectations of the children's learning potential was high and the children naturally rose to this challenge, enjoying the kinesthetic approach to learning. Just another big thank you for your enthusiasm and effort over the last few months.

Health Matters provides a framework for teaching and learning across many aspects of health education. It draws together elements of PSHE, science and physical education and school sport in a clear and progressive way. The resources provide a practical and active approach to enable pupils to understand what healthy lifestyles consists of, especially the importance of healthy eating and physical activity. Health Matters provides a focus for the school staff to address major health issues. Research shows that both improving diet and increasing physical activity can reduce coronary heart disease, diabetes and the incidence of obesity. I commend it to you.

Health Matters is a wonderful resource, all the Primary Schools and Special Schools in Chorley have recently received the resources and the training. The schools are finding it a massive help in strengthening the physical activity and health message to whole school, making it easy, accessible and fun.
